What is the history of ‘Escape Room’ games? Where did they start? How did they start?

Breakout Escape Rooms is one of the best destinations to visit and play the escape room games. Some of the escape room games are The Curse of the Pharaoh, The Enchanted Forest, Trapped, Classified and Murder Mystery which are developed on different themes such as sci-fi, thriller, action and murder etc. which gives players an interactive experience.

HISTORY OF ESCAPE GAMES

The first escape room was developed by a company called SCRAP in 2007 by Toshimitsu Takagi based on a video game and was developed later into a live escape room in 2007. The general concept of an escape room is that you and your team are trapped in a room filled with clues and puzzles to solve by being immersed in characters based on a movie-styled experience and escape in time.

The early escape rooms are based on different themes and designs and use of props such as telephones, tables and chairs acts as evidence based on the plot of the story with a set of basic puzzles for players to come and solve in an immersive experience-based arena which challenges their mental and physical abilities.

By 2011, Escape rooms had gained momentum in Europe and by 2013 USA came up with the concept of Real Escape Room Game with escape room games being revised and developed as per customer interests.

WHAT ABOUT TODAY?

France has escape rooms about 1990 in numbers with 732 brands including 140 and in Paris there are 46 kinds of escape rooms in 2014 and 2015. France also has new escape rooms in 2018 and 2019 with 20 new escape rooms opened each month.
